Hello, I’m Teresa Salais, the founder and owner of Salais Counseling, and a Licensed
Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 16 years of dedicated experience in the mental
health field.
For the past 10 years, Salais Counseling has proudly served our community, a testament to
our unwavering commitment to client-centered care and exceptional service.
I deeply believe that healing is not just the removal of symptoms; it’s living life in the way we
were meant to be – as our best selves.
Having navigated significant personal challenges and done the profound work of
understanding life as a continuous journey, I know firsthand the power of transformation.
There is nothing I enjoy more than witnessing individuals evolve into their fullest potential,
and it’s a true privilege to now teach the very techniques I’ve applied in my own life to my
clients.
My therapeutic approach is uniquely tailored to your needs, utilizing interventions from
various models. Sessions are thoughtfully designed with a strength-based, trauma-
informed, highly collaborative, and integrative approach, enhancing the skills you already
possess.
At Salais Counseling, I am deeply involved in ensuring the highest standards of care. In
addition to my one-on-one clinical work, I specialize in supervising and coaching mental
health therapists, overseeing all aspects of our clinical care and professional training. This

My Background:
Teresa Salais holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Weber State University, which
underpins her extensive clinical practice. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Teresa also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Weber State University, actively shaping and
mentoring the next generation of mental health professionals.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with a Minor Degree in Psychology from Weber State University.
