A Note from Elena Velaochaga
I am a Licensed Social Service Worker with 7+ years’ experience in community and outpatient settings. Certified in Perinatal/Postpartum Mental Health (PMH C), I specialize in pregnancy and postpartum concerns, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss & grief.
I support couples, parents, foster/adoptive families, caregivers facing burnout, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. My approach is trauma informed, strengths based, and culturally responsive, using evidence based methods.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University (expected graduation date- August
2026). - Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Westminster College (now Westminster University)
